Research Internship
The Research Internships programme is an initiative that aims to increase the number of female researchers at the research centre and within the German scientific community.
It is open to female academics from abroad who are at the beginning of their career and are interested in familiarising themselves with the SynTrac research environment at one of the participating institutions after completing their Master’s degree.
A good knowledge of German or English is required. Participants will work for six months on a research project defined by the host institution. Remuneration is based on a half-time position according to TV-L E13 (approx. €1,500 per month after deductions) and, in addition to the scientific work, the programme also offers participants the opportunity to take part in intensive German courses.
At the end of the research internship, participants should ideally have gained sufficient research experience and German language skills to be able to continue their research career as a doctoral candidate within the SynTrac project.
