Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bernhard Weigand

As PI of sub-project A02, Bernhard Weigand is in charge of analysing flow losses by determining entropy production rates. He has been head of the Institute of Aerospace Thermodynamics (ITLR) at the University of Stuttgart since 1999.

There he teaches thermodynamics and analytical methods for solving heat and mass transfer problems. His research areas include droplet dynamics, heat transfer in gas turbines and supersonic combustion.
